Final Submission - Narrative

´As the lonely woman sits trapped in her cold bunker enclosed in an old dark cave, she runs his words in her mind driving her to insanity, knowing that there is nothing surrounding her... Nothing but silence!´

Final Submission - Axonometric

The above axonometric is of the bedroom, and the below axonometric is of the writing room. Both rooms are quite similar. The have four tall white walls surrounding the edges, with the tinest slit of light coming through the top of the room. I imagine these rooms to be similar to a mental hospital, restrictive, almost as to make her go insane, as there is nothing to do but think.

Change in Idea

I was thinking about my design, and I found working with a corridor a bit difficult, and I think that I needed a few rooms to help with my program of my design. I also thought that having my space elevated in mid air would be quite difficult, so instead I tweaked my idea a bit.

I thought that perhaps, having it be in negative space, where I can cut out of a cliff/ mountain, and make it cave like, will help the theme of ´loneliness´, and it would help reinforce how she is trapped by large masses surrounding her. I was still thinking of keeping the corridor, however these corridors could lead to somewhere.

Above are a few sketches of my new idea.

Idea Sketches

The sketches below in my previous post are just quick idea sketches. I'm still exploring, and trying to figure things out. I think through these sketches, I wanted my site off a cliff? I feel a cliff can give a dramatic effect to my design.

Idea Sketches

Above is a quick sketch. An idea of a twisted corridor raised above ground, to show complete isolation, leading to a cave.

Above is a sketch of a long dark corridor....

This next image, I was thinking about isolation. The thought of being secluded, and so many corridors to lead you out, or pathways, yet you don't know which to take. A sense of loneliness?

This next image above, I got inspiration from a lamp. Although a corridor is not yet incorporated, I like the idea, of hanging off a cliff. I place of being alone, and no body out there but yourself, and no way of getting back. A big distance to reach between you and land.

The next sketch is an idea of a corridor, raised on a cliff.

This last image is a sketch of a view into a long corridor. I've rotated it 4 ways, as each way can be seen differently, and give a different sense of feeling with each.
